Let’s Find Your Home

Homeownership is a wonderful thing, let me be your resource.

Learn more about the home-buying process by reading the outline below. My buyer guide provides additional insight into the home-buying process. Let’s chat if you have any questions!

Deciding to Buy
Whether you are purchasing your first home, moving across town, or downsizing - I love to help buyers with one of the biggest purchases of their lives.

Find a Trusted Agent
It is important to find a trusted Realtor who educates you on the real estate market, listens to your wants and needs, is a problem solver, and answers your questions. When I work with buyers, one of our initial meetings will be a buyer’s consultation. During this time, I understand your priorities in a new home, review the home-buying process more in-depth, and answer any questions.

Secure Financing
Buyers can either finance a home purchase or purchase the home with cash. When buyers utilize financing, it is encouraged to get pre-qualified with a lender before touring houses. Doing this step first allows buyers to know their maximum budget when looking for a house. There are many local lenders that I encourage buyers to connect with.

Finding Your Home
Once you are pre-qualified, we begin looking at houses! I will show you homes with your criteria in mind. I recommend taking notes and pictures during showings. When you find a house you want to make an offer on, we will review the terms and submit the offer. Your offer can be accepted, countered, or rejected. Once an offer is accepted, you are now under contract on a home purchase!

Inspection
Congrats, your offer was accepted! If an inspection was listed in the terms of your accepted offer, we will schedule a home inspection. We will receive a detailed report from the inspector shortly after the completion of the home inspection. We will review each item on the inspection report and draft up a Post Inspection Amendment (PIA), if necessary.

Appraisal
If financing the house purchase, the lender will require a home appraisal. The lender will order an appraiser to confirm the value of the property.

Closing Day
You’ve finally made it to closing day! We will complete a final walk-through before closing to confirm everything looks as it should. At closing, you can expect to sign your name on numerous documents, but after you will receive the keys to your new home. As your Realtor, I will be around after closing to answer any questions you might have and be a resource for you.
